Town Planning Department not okay with regularization in Chandigarh

CHANDIGARH: In a move which may embarrass chief minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and his team, the town and country planning (TCP) department has expressed inability to give no objection certificate (NOC) for regularization of unauthorised colonies as well structures in the state.

With this, the future of thousands of such structures, especially in unauthorised colonies, which had come up between 2004 and 2010 will hang in balance. The office of director general, TCP, has already communicated about the technicalities involved while clearly expressing its inability to issue NOC as sought by the urban local bodies department of the state, sources said.
