If the Pune-Mumbai Expressway has turned fatal with increasing number of road accidents, the civic transport body has become a “killer machine.” Buses owned by the Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd (PMPML) have, since its formation in September 2007, claimed 67 lives — 55 on general routes in Pune and Pimpri-Chinchwad and 12 others on the Bus Rapid Transit System (BRTS) route
