ITDP was prominently featured on the front page of Times of India, Ahmedabad edition,  one the largest english daily newspaper published in India. ITDP's transport award to Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited in year 2010 was highlighted in the featured article on five years tenure of Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner, IP Gautam. In a recent reshuffle in state administration, Mr. Gautam has been transferred  as principal secretary, Gujarat state urban development department.

The Ahmedabad Bus Rapid Transit System, run by Ahmedabad Janmarg Limited introduces smart card system for ticketing. The new system  will allow passengers to swap the card  for easy boarding of BRTS buses. On an average per day 1.25 lakh passengers board BRTS  buses.
