KKV circle to open for commuters in Rajkot

RAJKOT: KKV circle diversion will be opened for commuters and vehicular traffic from Thursday onwards. The circle, located in one of the city's busiest areas Kalavad road, was blocked for traffic in June this year to meet the deadline to complete spit flyover bridge on 150 ft ring road in the city. RMC officials had made alternative arrangement for diversion of vehicular traffics on KKV circle.

Saurashtra's first split flyover bridge is under construction as part of the first phase of the 10.07 km Bus Rapid Transit System ( BRTS), being constructed under the Central government-sponsored Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission ( JNNURM) in the city.

RMC officials said that the one side of the split flyover bridge would be ready for commuters from December 31.

Its opening will ease the traffic on 150 ft Ring Road in the city.
